Wyrd Sisters Book Review
Genre: Fantasy, Romance (totally. seriously. you don't believe me??)
Author: Terry Pratchett
Synopsis
Poor Magrat. She tries so hard to be a good witch, with all the proper incantations and all that, but the remaining witches of her triad, Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg are a little old for all that mumbo-jumbo. Sure, they do witchy-like things like fly brooms and go wherever they want, but it just isn't the same. Oh, and there's this little problem with the king getting murdered by his, well, murderous cousin, and the cousin isn't a particularly good king. If only the king's boy and rightful heir could be found...(nah, that would never happen).
Brian's Review
In case you haven't noticed, Alex and I really dig Pratchett's books. Wyrd Sisters is no exception. I hadn't read any of the witch-themed books until this one, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Something about no-nonsense witches not taking anything from anybody is terribly amusing. Especially not from royalty. This is a good book for teens and adults alike in my opinion.
Read it!
